ENGINE-DRIVER'S FREE PARDON. Tho railway men Insisted any inlerforeuco with their private lives, and decided to-striko until Knox was reinstated. Tho striko spread to tho Tynesido dockers, and coal miners (rem also affected, 20,000 being out..' After conferences, and a magistrate had declared that Knox was not really drunk, a settlement was arrived ht, and ho was reinstated, but subsequently for over-running signals he was suspended for a rnonth.l
