At a meeting of the Federal- Committee which is arranging details of the visit of, members of th® British Association foT the Advancement of Science, it was stated that New Zealand, had granted JJ2OOO for the passages of twenty-five of the representatives, with a view to enabling them to extend their tour to New; Zealand. ■
A resolution was passed to tho effect that the British Association be invited to nominate twenty-five members fa go after the Sydney meeting,-on the understanding that New Zealand ■ pays ,£3O towards tho expenses of each, and that tho members fulfil scientific • duties in New Zealand. " ;
