HOCKEY.
GENERAL MEETING OF CONTROL. TJio annual meeting of the Wellington Hockey Association was held last evening la tho Civil Service Club rooms, the Hou A. L. Hprdinan being chairman. Twentyfour delegates were present. The chairman, in moving the adoption of tho report, congratulated tho hon on its nno record in respect to tho shield, and also on tho faot of having acquired both Karori Ptrk and tho Hutt Park as playing grounds at such reasonable rentals. Tha report was adopted and the election of officers resulted as follows:— President, Dr. H. C. Faulke (re-elected); vice-presidents, Hon. A. L. Herdman, M.P., Mr. 'M. F. Luckie, and Mr. D. Miller (re-elected); delegates to New Zealand Hockey Association, Messrs. G. Garrard (ro-eleotod), W. J. Organ, and M. F. Ijuckie; hon. seoretary, Mr. Alfred A. Bennett (rejected); lion, treasurer, Jlr. W. G. Morpeth; management committee, Messrs. Cathie, Manning, Tinney, Kichnrds,. Williams, Thompson, M'Gregor, Cameron, Marshall; hon. auditors, Messrs W. R. S. Hickson and W. S. WJiceer. . 1116 Wesley Hoekev Club wrote resigning from tho association. A motion to affiliate with the Wellington Amateur Spurts Federation was put to tho meeting, but after much discussion it was thrown out by 1Z votes to i: It was pointed .out that tho Hockey Association could manage its own affairs much more satislactonly by acting untrammelled than in conjunction until othor sporting bodies. It \vas docidod that three selectors (nonplaying members) bo appointed, instead oi a 6010 solector as heretofore.
