Advices from Cetinje state that vast crowds cheered King Nicholas, who received tho Allies* congratulations. ' The Turkish ammunition was almost spent when-Essad Pasha surrendered. The principal fort, at Tarabosch, was taken without a shot being fired. A Vienna message states that the general assault on Scutari began on Monday morning, following a thirty-six-hour bombardment. The Turks made a"lieroic resistance, and their quick-firers mowed • down hundreds of Montenegrins at tho Droitza fort, but fresh reinforcements, with an irresistible rush, carried the position. . heavy losses. TURKISH GARRISON LEAVES THE ; TOWN.. . London, April 23. Thero was somo desperato fighting at Scutari. The Montenegrins had threo thousand killed and the Turks five thousand. It is officially stated that after tho capture of Tarabosch, Es'sad Pasha opened negotiations-with the victors, and the' garrison later left tho town with their arms. Advices from Cattara state that the fighting around Scutari was decided by the Servian artillery silencing the Turkish batteries • one after another. The Montenegrins in the night time captured all the important positions and stormed the Bedica positions. Tho artillery fire has hid:part of Scutari in ruins.
King Nicholas and tho Montenegrin Princes will enter -the city to-day.

Belgrade, April 24. There were great rejoicings hero at tho news of the capture of Scutari. The city was illuminated, and wine was distributed in the streets.
