ST. THOMAS'S CHURCH.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Thomas's Parochial District, Wellington South, last night, the l?ev. W. Fancourt presided over a largo attendance. Tho annual report (already published) and the balance-sheet were adopted. Iu moving the adoption of the report, tlio vicar brielly reviewed the past year's work, and also mado n reference to tho Biblc-in-Schools question (mentioned elsewhere). Regarding tho boundaries of the parish, ho said there had, up till the present, been some dissatisfaction because of the fact thait one side of Mein Street was in St. Mark's and tho other side in St. Thomas's Parish. From its natural position tho whole of tho street should lielong to tho southern parochial district, and tho question had been referred to St. Mark's. If the report from there was favourable, it would be a matter for the Synod to deal with. On tho motion of Mr. D. Jenkins, seconded by Mr. J. W. Salmon, it was resolved "that, as the parish has taken over tlio liabilities of St. Cuthbert's building debt, a proportionate part of revenue from tlio liall account bo devoted to the reduction of St. Cuthbert's debt." A resolution was also carried confirming tho priuciplo of franchise to. women. Votes of thanks wero accorded the officers for their work dairing tho past Officers wero elected as follow:—Churchwardens, Dr. J. H. Kemp (nominated by the vicar) and Mr. J. W.
