0 THE THIRD-CLASS'HONOURS. At a meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association (over which Mr. .SI. J. Crumble presided) last night, it'was decided to bracket Petone and Brooklyn as being dead-heat for the third-class .championship. ■ _ . The decision was arrived at by finding the proportion of points scored to points possible. A first innings was counted two points, and a will .in a match played right out was worth threa points, l'etono played 18 matches, and scored 3G points out of a possible of at. Brooklyn played 19 matches, and scored 38 points out of n possible of 57. Each-, therefore, obtained lid.li per cent, of their possibles. The next club, Karon, obtained 3G.15 of its possible. THE DISTRICT SCHEME. At the meeting of tho Wellington Association last evening, it was resolved that the Management Committco should call a special meeting for Friday, May 30, for tho purpose of considering the advisability of retaining or altering the district scheme, and for dealing with any other matters for which notice may be given in iwordiince with the rules.
