Both animals were bred by tho noted English breeder of Herefords, Jfr, T. H.,. Price, and aro magnificent specimens of the breed. . Good judges who havo inspected Barometer,; the bull, consider him to bo one of the bcst-bodiod beasts that, has ever been brought into the Dominion. Although still a*.youngster ho is particularly well developed Slid bids fair to figure us a championship winner in. tho show-ring later on. Ho, was only shown onto before leaving England and was placed first in his class as a yearling at, tho Hereford bull sale, .and was awarded the 20-gtiinea plate for- tho best bull on tho ground out of one hundred and sixtyfour entries.
The heifer, Happy Hilda, r.omes from very aristocratic. lineage and although only three weeks out of quarantine is in: splendid conditiou.' She lias an unbeaten record.in -tho English sliow-ri'ngs and in addition to several first prizes, she has .won tiiree championships. Her heifpr' calf at foot i 3 by her .ship-mate Barometer.
