$ FIFTEEN YEARS' FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER. By Telerraph—Press Association—Goott'llht Paris, April 20. The man Pierou, changed with attempted murder of two women in December last, was sentenced lo fifteen years' imprisonni'mt.
[Pierou, who had been Mayor of Genetilly, was charged with attempting to murder Madame Chabrux, the. widow of ft banker, and her sister. Tho evidence was circumstantial. It was admitted by Pierou, who was .reputed to be a wealthy man, that he had had loan negotiations with the banker prior to the latter's death,l j.
