BRISTOL'S STORAGE.
CHALLENGE BY MR. W. D. LYSNAII. (By Telezrapli.—Fress Association.) Napier, April 19. The statement of Mr. Poster, chairman of the Associated Meat Company, that tho refrigerated storage at Bristol was limited to 80,000 carcasses, has been brought under tho notiijo', of Mr. W. D. Lysnar, who said:—"What I stated at Invereargill about BristoL's storago capacity is absolutely correct, and Mr. Poster's data is not. Mr. H. W. Twiggs (chairman of tho Port of Bristol), in a letter to. mo stated that, in round figures, tho capacity at tho present moment is equivalent to* 100,000 carcasses, and no difficulty is anticipated in doubling or quadrupling this as soon as it can lio shown- that additions will bo needed. In continued Mr. Lysmir, "thero aro two other stores each with a capacity of 50,000 carcasses, and a fourth owned by the port but now used for other purposes. I purpose to deal wit.li Mr. Foster's statement in public addresses at l'ahialua mid Hastings, and challongo liim to. attend the lireetings and tmblicly debate tho question. We want tho best results, and, if Mr. Foster can show that what w aro striving for is not the best, I ask him to let us know in a manly way on tho pul)lie platform what is hest. If he cannot suggest anything better, I call upon him either to assist the producers or leave us alone." Mr. Lysnar adds:—"lt really does not matter what is tho actual storage at Bristol, particularly as Bristol is only olio out of six ports on t.lio West Coast of England that, it is suggested, should bo used at ono and tho same time, 'flio question of storage should not deter produoers from going forward . with a bellcrnient Bclieino as against a. fow meat specula lore.
