"HAD ENOUGH FUN." By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Reo. April 19, 1.30 p.m.) Berlin, April 18. The German merchants, who wero concerned in the "mobbing" incident, at Nancy railway station, deny having pro. voked tho crowd in any way. They were hustled to the train by the crowd, who kicked and spat.upon them. Nobody, they state, interfered, until tho stationmaster cleared tho carriage, when he .remarked to tho crowd: "Now you've had enough fun." M. OGIER'S REPORT. INSULTED BUT NOT STRUCK. Paris, April 18. The newspaper "La Matin," referring to the alleged maltreatmont of six Germans at the Nancy railway station, states that M.. Ogier, appointed ,by the Government to inquire into/the matter, has got evidence that tho Frenchmen did not strike, but insulted, the Germans. The Government intends to-punish the officials for not protecting the Germans, and.will also prohibit tho production of offensive plays in frontier, towns. FRANCE TAKES ACTION. i . POLICE OFFICERS DISMISSED. (Rec. April 20, 5.5 p.m.)>. Paris, April 19. The Government .has dismissed two policemen'who were,on.duty, at the Nancy station, at, the time of the incident, and is also reorganising the Nancy police service. The Prefect of' Police at Nancy has been transferred to another Department for neglecting- to report tho incident. "
The German Ambassador has been notified of the dismissals.
