The local price of flour has advanced 10?. per ton. Oats arc also being offered sparingly, and for these there is,a cood demand. A-grade Gortons pellinK at 2s. 2d., B-grade at 25.. Duns at Is. lid. to as.. Danish at liv lCd. to 25,, and Algerians (which are not much in demand), at lsl 9d. to 2s. at country stations. Sales of potatoes are being made steadily, but there is not much keenness in the'demand. The future, of the market depends largely upon whether supplies will be wanted by Australia. Sales are being made at £3 lEs. to £4, mostly at the latter figure. Red Hcbrons, for seed purposes, have been selling at £5 and £5 ss. BANK KATES OF INTEREST. The Bank ot England rate wns, on February 8, 1912, reduced from 4 to 3J per cent., and on May 9 it was further reduced to 3 per cenl. On August 25 it was raised to 4 per cent., and on October 17 to 6 par cent. It woa reduced to 4J per cent, on April 17, 1913. The Hank of Franco rate" was reduced from 3J to J por cent, on January 23. 1908, o-nd continued at the latter figure until September 12. 1911. when it was raised to Jj per cent. Beet: Hinds, 3d. por lb.- lower; fores unchanged.- Sheepskins: Crossbred combing duns, prices unchanged; merino prices unchanged. For crossbred clothing skins, prices are lower by Jd. per lb., but for orosebreds in general, any change in prices is in sellers' favour. Tallow: Tallow in general is 6d. per cwt. lower, and there is very little intiuiry. Wool soles: Of the total quantity available for the April series, already-published. 28,000 bales will not be offered. These include mainly orosebreds. SHEEPSKINS.
