The President, Dr. Wilson, has summarily dismissed Mr. Willis Luther Moore, Chief of the ..Weather Bureau, on grave charges of irregularities in the office. Tho Department of Justice is making investigations. , Mr. Moore denies the charges. [Mr. Moore, who at tho age of eight joined his father with Grant's army at City Point, and sold papers to the troops in tho field, subsequently became a student of natural sciences under tho scientific staff of the Weather Bureau. He rose through successive grades till he becanio chief of the United States Weather Bureau in 1895.]
