MILK SHORTAGE IN AUCKLAND.
* (By Telegraph— Special CorrespomlenU Auckland, April IG. The price of milk in Auckland is to bn raised from 'Id. to 3d. a quart this week. The reason given for the rise in prico is that tho long drought during tho summer has made the question of feed a serious nno for tho dairy farmers in the vicinity of Auckland, and one dairyman estimates that the daily supply of milk is now over 2000 gallons short of the normal. If there is 110 adequate rainfall within tho next few weeks, dairymen state that tho price will rise even abovo sd. a quart.
