4 EXAMINERS APPOINTED,
FURTHER DEGREES AWARDED.
A special meeting of University Senate was held in the University oflice 011 Tuesday and yesterday. 'J'ho following matters were dealt with end dccided besides the degree results already published:— \ That the fee for examination in one subject at a special medical professional examination is i:8 Bs. That the Registrar of tho University of New Zealand be appointed Corresponding Secretary of t'iie International Congress of Universities, and that the University of New Zealand will contribute towards the expenses of maintaining a Central Bureau ill London. Tho question of providing a course for Honours and for a Master's Degree iu Agriculture was deferred until next annual meeting of Senave. Several examiners having declined examinerships offered to them tho following have been selected:—l:i Surgery for M.B. and Ch.B.—Dr. Aclaiiil, Christcliurch. In Materia Mcdica ior M.B. and Ch.B. —Dr. Py'ffe, Wellington. In German for. Alatriculation and Entrance Scholarships—-E. H. Campbell, 8.A., Dunedin. In Physiology for lI.Sc. in Homo Science.- —Professor Denhatu, Dunedin. Iu Natural Science for Matriculation.— Aliss Bawson, Dunedin (with Professor Boys-Smith). In Physical Science for Matriculation. —Professor Evans, Ci ristchurch, and 11. Speight, AI.Sc., Christcliurch. In Heehanics for Er.trance Scholarship. --L. J. Darwin, ALA., Christcliurch. In Physics for Entrance Scholarship — T. B. Hamilton, M.A., Dunedin. In Mechanics for Bachelor of Agriculture.—W. Wilson, 8.E., Auckland. In Physiology for M.B. and Ch.B. —Dr. Pearson, Christchurch. All the options of paper (b) in Natural and in Physical Science for Alatriculation will be printed in one paper in each case. Students who have been given permission to complete the Matriculation Examination by passing in either Botany or Zoology, will take the subject Natural Science; and those who are to complete in Elccfricilv, or Ileat, or Alcchanics will take the subject of Physical Science. Senior .Scholarship candidates in Pure 1111' d Applied Mathematics will this year be examined i'll Repeat papers. The Taramiki Scholarship held by Aliss Alary F. DowKiig wus extended 'for a fourth year. William Leonard Parker was awarded an Engineering Travelling Scholarship.

Bachclor of Science—Oorkill, Francis Malcolm. Bachelor o)i Laws—Mackcrsey, Lindsay John; Swarbrick, Henry Augustus. Messrs. A. T. Clarke, Wellington, and G. C. Tlio free passages offered by the Orient Steamship Company wore awarded to: H. P. ICidion, M.A., and W. T. Foster, M.A. The Cook Trize in Mathematics was awarded to E. C. Hercus, of Otago University.
