The last meeting of the present Onslow Borough Council whs held' last night. Tho Mayor (Mr: F. Holdsworth) president, and there were present, also, Councillors G. W. Darvall, C. Alpin, junr., It. W. Requests that the council should have certain tiork done iu Imlay Crescent were refused, 1 on the ground that the Crescent was not a public, road. •The council, passed a resolution agreeing with the W.oodville Borough Council's rSsoliition'to tho effect that the Government should tftx rdotor cats and motor cycles. ' . The tender of Messrs. Sargent , and Elton for tarring and sanding ICaiwarra footpaths was accepted^ Tho balance-sheet for the year was presented.- The .general account showed a debit of .£2OOO. This account was is-18-iii debit at tli6_ beginning of the year, and the Mayor said that as over .£I3OO of this year's expenditure was "extraordinary" (catchment area, .etc.), tho account was really in a better position than in the previous year.
