Yi AViddowson, S.M., was engaged the greater part bf to-day. investigating a case, in which, the Dunedin and Kaikorai Tramway' Company was proceeded against for an alleged breach of the Dunedin tramways. award in that it employed George-B. Lambourn on repair work after the full working day without paying him overtime. A' penalty of ,£2O was claimed. Evidence was brought forward that Lambourn, who was recently employed as an .assistant lineman, w;i's grubbing on the track on February 5. At 4 p.m. the manager (Mr. Hunter) told him to come out at 11 p.m. to work on the road. The Court was occupied for the greater part of the day in hearing a series cf charges of embezzlement against Axel Askenbeck, second clerk of the Court at Greymouth. .
