Trimmings of puff pastry or shorti crust, !! tablespoonfuls of jam, 2 eggs, their weight in butter, sugar, and flour, 1 grated rind of J- lemon, i-teaspoon baking powder. Line the sides of a pie-dish with a thin strip of pastry, -then decorato the sides of the dish. Spread the jam at the bottom. Cream the butter and engar, add the eggs and flour gradually; mix well; add the baking powder last. Pour the mixture into the pie-dish and bake iii a moderate oven IJ hours. I'OR TO-MORROW. Stock. Half-pint peas, soaked overnight. Leg of mutton. Carrots. Turnips. .Raisins. Defiance Butter. All Grocers.*
