The caso, is to conw before the Conciliation Council on April- 21, when Messrs. M. J. Reardon, J. Furey, and P. O'Keefa will act as assessors for the union. Tho caso was mentioned at tho Eastbourne Borough Council's meeting _ on Friday evening, but tho council decided not to appoint an assessor, as it only employed a few men. Tho council's position; as far as wages and hours are concerned is as follows:— „ New At Demands. Present* Flours 'U Pipelayers* wages ... ls.Gd. perh. Is. ljd, Other labourers ... Is. 3d. par li. Is. OJd. Tho following holidays, .to 1m for ns if the worker had worked eight hours, are to be recognised by employers:—Netf Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday Labour Daw Sovereign's Birthday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. The usual pw ferenco is demanded. 1
