FINAL 'EFFORT-MOTOR' CYCLING. Entries for the motor-oycle carnival, to be Held at.'Trentham as the last page in the brilliant chapter of .tho Citizens' Carnival on Saturday next, close to-day". Mr. . C. D. Bridge will be in attendance at the Town Hall between 8 and 9 p.m. Numerous entries liavo been received from Puhuerston North and Hastings and inquiries have come to hand and entries are expected from Christcburch and Dunedin. , The chief event of the meeting, tho.interisland ._ invitation championship, over 10 miles, is attracting considerable attention omongst the owners of the faster cyolcs. Participation in this race is restricted to machines, capable of doing over . GO miles an hour. , A .meeting of. the Carnival Committee - was 1 held at the Town Hall last evening, Mr:- J. E. Fitzgerald presiding. Messrs. Fitzgerald. and Fletcher were asked tq arrange' for the' presence of . a . band'at'the carnival. . :<■ !• The organisation of sideshows,and other amusements ,was entrusted to Mi'. Fletcher. ■ ' Posters advertising the oarnival will be displayed at Newtown-Park next Wednesday, 'and sandwich men will also be employed. It is expected that hundreds of men and officers from the New Zealand will attend to witness the motorcycle races. ■
