THE WRONG WAV TO CULTIVATE ORIGINALITY. Sir Charles urged tho students to follow truth in art, to give truthful muling.; of the objects they wished to convey to the t-pectalor by means of their art! There could bo no doubt; ho admitted, that that was the most dillicult task of the artist. "Do not try to put certain feelings or Konliments nito it," he said. "Above; all, do not: endeavour to put. yourselves into it and say to yourselt: 'I must be original' or 'l must 'try to do it. my own nay."
