1) SHIPPING REBATE AND TREATY EIGHTS. , By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Washington, April 9. The new Tariff Bill proposes a concession of 5 per cent, on goods conveyed, in American ships. The treaties existing between tho United States and Britain and other nations conflict with such a provision, and' vigorous protests ,by the nations concerned aro probable. DEARER WOOL EXPECTED. London, April 10. Fears are expressed at Bradford that the placing of wool on the freo list under tho American tariff revision scheme will send the* present abnormal prices up higher, owing to a shortage in tho world's supplies. *A NEW PRECEDENT. (Rec. April 10, 10 p.m.) Washington, April 10. The President, Dr. Wilson, has established a new precedent by conferring at the Capitol with tho party leaders. • It is stated that thel'» is little likelihood of a revolt amongst the party damaging the wool and sugar schedules of tho Tariff Bill.
