The' new linlis of tho. local Golf Club on the Taratnhi-Carterton racecourso were officially opened on Saturday, when a two-ball foursome was played. Alterations are shortly to be made to the factory of tho Dalclicld Dairy Company. 'Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co., Ltd., have received instructions from the occupant of No. -U Daniel Street. Newtown, to sell the contents of his five-roomed residence by auction on Friday, April 11. Tho sale is to commence at 1.30 p.m. Mr. H. Palmer has received instructions from Mr. W. G. Doneaster. Tokomaru, to sell without reserve a number of sections, also a quantity of household effects. Tho auction will be held on tho premises, Tokomaru (near Tailway station) to-morrow.
