OPENING CEREMONY. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright Peking, April 8. Six hundred senators and members of tlio House of Representatives have arrived hero for the inauguration of Parliament. The Government's .majority at tho elections is practically assured. General Yuan-Shi'h-Kai, tho President, will not' attend the opening of Parliament owing to fear for liis safety ,in quenco of tho reccnt assassination of Sung, ex-Minister for Education. General Yuan-Shih-Kai, in his message to Parliament, said ho hoped the Republic would endure for ten thousand years. RECOGNITION DEFERRED. (Reo. April 9, 9.35 p.m.) New York, April 9, Tho United States has decided to defer recognition of the Chinoso Republic until tho Constitutional Assembly has been fully organised.
