Tho Hawke's Bay Fanners' Heat Co., which was recently floated, has just purchased .a site on the right bank of the Ngaruroro Kivor. Tho site is conceded to bo an ideal one, possessing, as it does, all. the necessary advantages to the successful carrying on of the meat freezing industry. There is an assured, supply of suitable water, and good drainage, whilo the proximity of the proposed works to the railway and the port of Napier afford the necessary facilities for the shipment of meat to distant markets.. Plans of the proposed works are being prepared, and it is intended to lose no time in pushing 011 with the erection of the necessary 1 buildings. In the time of Richard 111. most folk who made cheese, made it for their own consumption. Nowadays the demand for cheese is created by a much larger population; hence, the old order give'th place to the new.
