A tan-roomed house situated on Sti John's Hill, owned and occupied bv Edward Tingsy, was totally, destroyed by fire at 2..1 D a.m., together with, tho contents. The fire had a good hold when it was discovered, and tho ' occupants escaped in their night clothes, being unablo to save anything.
