Butter a piedish thickly, and line with a good layer of breadcrumbs, pressing them firmly io tho sides to raako them stick; peel and slico soino apples; put a layer into the dish, sprinkle sugar over with a iittlo grated lemon peel or nutmeg; then more sliced applo jiikl sugflr till thp dish is full and piled high; put breadcrumbs Oil top, and dot Wis of butter over it; Lake for H hours; turn out carefully, and servo hot. 1 ■ FOR TO-MORROW.
