.. 1 ■ The wonderful sucoess achieved in Auckland by Maeterlinck's stupendous fairy - 'pantomime, "The Blue Bird," has eclipsed tho most anticipations of tho J. C. Williamson, Ltd., management. The season extended over a period of a. fortnight, during which no fewer than threo matinee performances were given. It is stated that -the electrio and other effects ■ are more intricate and moro magnificent than tliosa used for the production of"Kismet," and tlio representation was, it is said, a revelation, to playgoers in tho. . north. To-day the company, which numbers over 100 people, will journey to Gis- ; borne, whero they will stago "The Blue > Bird" on Monday and Tuesday next; on Thursday it will be presented to play- ■ goers of Napier; on Friday it will bo pro- . duced at Dannevirke; on Saturday at Pal- - mei-ston North; at Wanganui on Monday,' April 14; atEltham on Tuesday, April 15; at Now Plymouth on Wednesday, J April 16; at Mnsterton on Friday, April 18; end a brief season will begin at Weilingtou on' Saturday, April 19, for which tho box plans will bo opened at the Dres- ' : den oft Wednesday, April 10.
