FRESH AIR FUND.

A goodly number of, little slum children from tha big', cities of the Mother Country aro already guaranteed a day of joy in tho country by the contributions of Dosikiox readers to tho Fresh Air Fund. A further batch of donations lias coin© to hand—a number of them from children who hayo seized this opportunity to givo what in .most cases is tho treat of a lifetime to littlo who havo never seen the country, and who will bo regaled as never perhaps before in their pinched and colourless lives. Each additional ninepeflco donated means a day of bliss for somo small mite—a day to bo talkedover for months, possibly years, to come. Each 10s. affords a fortnight's holiday in a veritable fairyland at.the seaside for somo sickly slum child pining away for want of fresh air ami tho chango which his parents cannot afford to givo him.
