TRAWLER ASHORE.
ON THE OTAKI BEACH,
The trawler, which went ashoro on the Otaki beach at about i p.m. on -Tuesday at ' present presents an upright appearance and at noon yesterday was high and dry, although this morning s sea, rougher, than usual, was tho means of floating her. No effort, however, was made to get her off on account of tho rough water. Iho mishap, caused through tho trawl becoming ontanglcd in tho prppollor, was added to by the breaking of tho cable. Tho vessel, which is Go£t. long, with a 10ft. beam, has only been in commission for about three weeks, during which time she has been fishing round Mana and Kapiti. She is.owned by Mr. Robertson, of the Phoenix Foundery, of Wellington, is of heart of kauri, and built about 35 years ago in Waitara. An elfort will be made to refloat tho vessel about Sunday or Monday, when .it is hoped to pick up tho cable, bho is not damaged l in the least and the crow appear to bo making the best of the matter. It is probable that an inquiry of a formal nature will bo held.
