A PATENT CASE. ARGUMENT CONCLUDED. Argument was concluded in the Court of Appeal yesterday in the ease of Hopkirk v. MacEwan and another, hearing of which.commenced.on Wednesday last before Mr. Justico Williams, Mr. Justice De'nniston, Mr. Justico Edwards,'and Mr. Justico Cooper. The cnso arose out of an alleged infringement of a patent. Mr. T. Neave, with Mr. I). R. Hoggard, appeared for the appellant, while Kir John Eindlay, IC.C., with Mr. D. M. Eindlay, appeared for the respondents. Decision was reserved. FIXTURES MADE. The caso of Mayor of Lower Ilutt v. Hayes has been iixed' b.v the Court of Appeal to follow the present case. It will probably come on for hearing 011 Tuesday next. If there is any space v.acajit before the Auckland cases come 011 next Thursday, the Court will hear the case of the master aud owners of tho steamer Arapawa v. tho ship Wanganui.
