THE "TRIUMPH" STILL ON TOP. Tho .Chmtehurch-fcaikoura-and-back record still stands to the credit of Mr Q, B. Brown and his full roadster "Triumph," and tho new rccord mado last Thursday has- been buried almost as soon as it was born under tho crushing weight of two lioyrs aiul twentv-one minutes • Tho features of Mr. G, B Brown's great r.idu on Saturday' havo boon given full publicity.. On Bth Febru. ary ho rodo alone. Somo .capital was mado out of tho fact, that on a previous occasion, he was accompanied by another rider, and, though tho precedent . thus set has been followed in the subsequent attempts upon tho record by riders of machines other than tho "Triumph," Mr Brown decided to demonstrate his faith in "Triumph" reliability by riding alone He rodo the same full roadster threospeed "Triumph" as ho rodo when ho established tho record on January 17. Tho only difference in the conditions was that he knew the road. It must bo remembered that this Christchurch-ICnikoura ride was suggested by "Triumph" competitors presumably ns a courst> on which their machines had a better chance against tho "Triumph" than any other. The course evidently does suit their machine—when their maehino is going well—but it quito as evidently suits tho "Triumph." just as well, and a great deal better. So tho remilt of this little sporting eontroversv has been to establish tho "Triumph" a's the best "cross-oountry" motor-ovcle, as well as tho best speed machine, tho best machine for reliability, and the best for hill-climbing. Tho latest "Triumphs" are nbw to hand; prices: fixed engine „C7O; free engine, .E80; three-speed, JIS7 10s. Adams, Limited., Christchurch Branches, Waiiganui, l'almerston North!
