HOCKEY.
I'ETOXE WEDNESDAY CLUB. The annual meeting of the Petone Wednesday Hockey Club was held on Tuesday night. Ollicers for the current year were elected us follow['resident, 'Mr. It. .1. Palmer; vice-presidenls, Messrs. Hill, 11. Dan.sty, W. W'earue. ami U. Armstrong; club captain, li. ltowe;-field captain, J. Parrant; vice-captain, W. M'Ewan; selection committee, Messrs. Burn, l'ftrrant, and M'Ewan; delegates to the association, Messrs. Pointon' anil Jl'Ewan; maungement'coibmittee, Messrs. Beswiekj-Buvn, Saul, Howe, and Taplin. Five new members were elected. It was decided to enter one team in the mid ; Week competition, and coiunietice practice next week.
