(.Specially Written for The Dominion.] TUESDAY. White Vegetable Soup.- Corned Beef. Dumplings, Potatoes. Carrots. Turnips, Baked Applo Pudding. WHITE VEGETABLE SOUP. One carrot, 1 leek, 2 onions, 1 turnip, 1 bunch of herbs, munll lump of white sugar, 1 blade of nmce, 2oz. flour, IJoz. dripping, li pints warm water, 1 pint milk, pepper, salt; Cut the vegetables into neat pieces, and let them cook gently with the dripping in a saucepan, with the lid on, about ten minutes,, without browning;'add the warm water and mace, pepper and salt, and cook gently till the vegetables are tender—from 20 to 30 minutes, llix fhe flonr smoothly with a little of the milk, and stir into the soup; boil for a few minutes; tnko out herbs and mace, add remainder of milk, boil up, and serve.
