Mrs. Edwards, who is leaving Masterton to take up her residence in Syduev, was last night entertained at a social by the congregation of (he Methodist Church, and was presented with a lady's companion. Mrs. Edwards lias beer, a mcmbsr of the Methodist Choir for twenty years. The quarterly meeting of tlic Masterton Fire Board was.held yesterday, Mr. C. R. Robieson occupying the chair.
