The boom of cannon at Chatalja is audible in the city. Hundreds of wounded are arriving daily. The Turkish loss at Chatalja is 1200 killed and 3500 wounded. Enver Bey's force was trapped over a mined .area, and tho explosion caused heavy loss. ' , Sixty thousand Bulgarians suddenly at-' tacked and drove tho Turkish right wing back and almost turned the centre. FALL OF ADRIANOPLE, WAR MATERIAL WORTH .£7,000,000. (Rec. March 30, 5.5 p.m.) Sofia, March 29. The value of the war material cap.tured at Adrianople i 5,.£7,000,000. It will be equally divided between tho Servians and the Bulgarians. General Ivanoff's dispatch states that the Bulgarians captured the eastern forts, whereupon Shukri Pasha surrendered. The operation of the Bulgarian and vM'vian troops before the other positions around Adrianople was merely of a demonstrative character, and they were still far from tlio circle forts when the east front fell. The populace of Adrianople did not suffer much, and few buildings were damaged in the bombardment. There were no epidemics in the city. Many Turks destroyed their rifles and disabled their guns before surrendering. Tho electric light and wireless . stations vre?e also destroyed. . •

As tho besiegers clcsod upon tho town' deserters came out in great numbers reporting that tho garrisoii was exhausted, and that only Shukri Pasha's will induced them to continue fighting. The Servian artillery concentrated its lire on the eastern forts. ■. Thero were desperate conflicts throughout Tuesday and Wednesday nights, when the eastern forts wero captured. ■ Tho Turks fired tho town at various points. There were great flames and loud dc-. tonations as the arsenals were ignited. POWERS' TERMS ACCEPTED COMPENSATIONS FOR MONTE- . NEGRO. Sofia, March 28. The Allies have (.greed to accept the Powers' proposal as a basis for peace negotiations. ' Vienna, March 28. Scrvia complies with the Powers' summons to cvacuate Albania. The Powers are addressing a similar request to Montenegro. London, March 28. A Renter message states that the Powers, with a view of meeting Montenegro's complaint as to her small territorial acquirement at Scutari, propose to send a commission and' render financial assistance to transform Lake Scutari into cultivable land, which Montenegro greatly needs. Cetinje, March 28. Montenegro points out that Turkey in 1!)U granted a concession to drain Lake Scutari to compensate Montenegro for her losses in the Albania rising. The contract was entrusted to a Trench company.
