Brown, lately manager of .tho Singer Sewiiig Machine Company, for a certificate of discharge, dismissing the objectors' objections, and declaring that there had been no fraudulent breach of triist.

In April of last year Brown and the accountant of the Singer Co., John Macpherson, wero charged with conspiring to defraud the company of J12.7W. The evideiice showed that Brown was receiving a salary of .£4OOO, and that his account was largely overdrawn. The prisoners were discharged, but Macpherson Sva-s sent to gaol for a year on a charge,of stealing .£5197 from tho company.
