BOARD OF GOVERNORS. The, Wellington Collefto Board of Governors met _ yesterday, Mr. A.' de B. Brandon presided, ahd (he othef members present wcro: Messrs. A. Wo.rburton, IV. H. 13.l 3 . Barber, and W. P. Ward. Tlio secretary (Mr. C. P. Powles) reported that Mr. Brandon had bfeti reelected as thft representative of the parents of the board, Mri Brandon was reappointed chairman. Thoro is a Suta of .£IOOO on fixed deposit. _ Miss M'Lean, principal of. tho Girls' Collcg-e, reporting on tho results in examinations this year, stated that 18 paused matriculation out of 27 who entered (a much higher p'ercontafto than thft averago), three pas.sed on tho University scholarship Papers, alid ono of tlieso (Dorot.hy M'Carlney), was awarded a junior scholarship. Thirty-four passed tho JulnOr Civil Service examination (out of 42 Mo entered), and IS of these gained credit. Two pupils-of the school (Winnie Ponton aiid Dora Johnston) gained sfcnior KducatiOh Board scholarship, and two (Arerta Smyth' and Klfio Bannister) gained junior board scholarships.
