(By Association.) Hastings, March 27. The eighth biennial session of tho Protestant Alliance Friendly Society of Australasia was held - yesterday. Delegates were present from Thames, Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Chrirftchurch, Oamavu, and Dunedin. W.G.M. Bro. Stevens (Auckland) presided. The trustees reported J!BG79 was invested. (an increase of ,£•195 on the previous year), and tho interest earned .ECI3. Levies to funeral fund and incidental fund wcro fixed at six-and five shillings per annum; respectively. A proposal, to abolish, death duties was rejected. The. election of officers resulted Grand Master, Bro. Stevens (Auckland); deputy,. Bro. Arnold (Dunedin); secretary, Bro. Burns (Auckland); treasurer, Bro. M'Kinnstry (Wellington); trustees, Bros. Ha.vhnw, May, olid Maxwell; chaplain, Bra. Morton (Hastings). Tile Grand Master appointed Bro. Arnold his representative in tho South Island. It was resolved that a scheme of clearance values between New Zealand and Australian-States to brought into operation, that support he given <to tho system of Stato" subvention of sick funds, and that the executive formulate a pcheme of consolidation on tho lines' adopted by Queensland. Next meeting of tho Grand Council will bo held at Oamaru. *-
