More settlement was intended for Victoria, more primary industries were required, and the product's shotild be taken to the consumer's doorstep.
Mr. Watt has been visiting Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Hull, and elsewhere. He stated tlmt Victoria, alone or cooperating with the oilier States, wns prepared to consider the possibility of assisting direct steamship services.
