WELLINGTON HARBOUR.
MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD.
At last night's meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board, the.chairman, (Mr. R. Fletcher) presided, and there were also present: Messrs. C. W. Jones, R. C. Renner, W. T. Hildreth, J. W. M'Ewen, J, M'JFftrlane, J. G. J. Cobbe, P. C. Freeth, A. H. Hindmarsh, and J. Trevor. Leave of absence was granted to Mr. C. E. Daniell. Payments for the, month wero ,£20,320 193. /d. Tho amount to the credit of current account was reported as .£34,251 18s. 6d., and to tho credit of imprest account as J31406 lis. 3d. The sum of ,£BO,OOO is on fixed deposit. On the recommendation of tho Wharves and Accounts Committee, .it was resolved to grant formal sanction to Petone Borough Council's proposed outfall- drain into harbour in connection with septic tank near Hutt River mouth, provided ttat the conditions stipulated for .by tho hoard's engineer are complied with. . . To affix seal to memo, of transfer from board to Miramar Borough Council of part of land >Worser Bay Pilot Station Reserve, to be dedicated for road purposes under Section 2 of the Wellington Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1912 To grant permission to tho Department of Tourists and Health Resorts lo erect notices re Department on board's premises at the discretion of the board's engineer and on pn.vment of a nominal rent. Tenders for annual contracts were considered in committee, and the lowest will bo accepted if in order.
