NEW SOUTH WALES LABOUR ACTION. By Teleeraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, March 2G. The New South Wales Trado Union Congress has adopted a clause enacting that in the event of an affiliated union or council ordering a strike without affording the proposed Labour Federation ample opportunity to investigate, tho federation shall reserve the right to withhold support, or suspend, or expel an offending union or council.-

The 1 congress decided that the Labour Federation should exercise supreme authority in the trado union movement in preference to the Sydney Labour Council. While clauses of the draft constitution wero being discussed, Mr. Peter Bowling proposed an amendment, that the federation should represent only industrial labour. , A member- of congress told Mr. Bowling he could "cut no ice" in! Sydney. Another remarked that it was plain he wished to replace the Labour party by some other body. The amendment was rejected.
