OPENING DAY, (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wanganui, March 22. Tho -Wanganui Trotting Club's annual mooting opened to-day. There was a good attendance, and the sum put through tho totalisator was .£3993, as against .£3457 on last year's opening day. Results:— MAIDEN HANDICAP, of 25 sovs. Ono mile and a half.—2 -Mr. W.
