Miss Mice Lyne has been engaged by Mr. Thomas Quinlan and Mr. J. C. Williamson for tho forthcoming opera season, beginning in August. Sho is 21 years of age, pretty, graceful, and the possessor of a fino lyric soprano. In Octobsr, 1911, she made her debut as Tioletta in "Traviata," and scored a splendid success. This appearance was at Oscar Hammersfoin's Ixmdon Opera House, and the critics hailed her, apart from her singing, as the first singer of recent days who had looked tho pari.. Sho will take tho leading roles in the lighter Italian operas, leaving to Miss Agne3 Nicholls (who will probably come again with the company) tho heavier Wagnerian parts.
