MIRAMAR COUNCIL.

The usual mee'ting of the Sliramar Borough Council' was held last evening. The following were present The Mayor (Mr. H. ,31'Leod), Councillors Bell, Bowie, Telford, Stone, Smith, and Grigg. Councillor GriEg, having previously given notice, moved: "That, after the end of' March, all fares on tho Miramar Borough Council tramways be one penny (holidays included)." , Speaking to tho mdtion, ■ Councillor Grigg stated that he did not wish to waste the council's time. They all knew the arguments upon which lie based his motion. A reduction in the'fares , would induce people to come to Miramar. The motion, was seconded pro forma, but, on tho division, only tho mover voted for it.
