Sydney, Match 18. to the gas strike is that the Gas Employees' Union, with Ihe J.ssent of the companies has applied the Arbitration Court for cancellation of the present agreements between tin parties, with a view to substituting a' Wages Board. The hearing is not finished. MELBOURNE MOVEMENT. Melbourne, vlarch 18. Following the lead of the Sydney gas employees, the' local ga3 employees have presented a claim, to the Arbitration Court, involving better working conditions and higher wages.
