Captain M'Donncll, who iias teen in* (cresting himself in ilie case of several members of the Native race who are war veterans, complains of (he delay in "having their claims attended to., Before Anyone can claim i\ veteran's pension he must produce his war medal, and in the case of the "Natives referred to, the medals have not been issued to -hem. l*our months ago they made application to the defence headquarters in Wellington for the medals to which they t were entitled, and later applied for pensions* but since then, says Captain M'Donnell, nothing whatever has been heard of the matter.
