The reservoir is bigger than Hyde Park in area, ami. is capable of floating a Dreadnought. Mr. 11. A. Humphreys, the engineer, devised live pumps, encli capable of raising 40,000 gallons 25 feet up from tho Itiver Lea daily. The power is derived from explosions of gas, instead of the usual centrifugal pumps.
