The trial has begun at Frankfort of the Pole Sternickel, the two brothers Kerstens, and a third man, named Schewnz, his accomplices. The accused are charged with the murder at Ortwig of a farmer named Calies, his wife, and a servant girl. There aro a number of charges of murder against Sternickel. Sternickel coolly related the story of the murders, and pleaded that he only intended partially to strangle his victims. He did not realise that ho was killing them.
