THE "TRIUMPH" STILL ON TOP. Tho ChristchuTph-Kaikoura-and-back record still stands to tho credit of jfr G. B. Brown nnd his full roadster "Triumph," a n( l the new record made last Thursday has been bnric-d almost as soon as it was born tinder the crushing weight of two hours and twenty-one minutes The features of Mr. Q B Brown's great ride on Saturday have boon given full publicity. On Bth February he rodo alono. Some capital was mada out of the tact that 011 a previous .occasion he was accompanied by another ■rider, and, though tho precedent thus set has been followed in tho subsequent attempts upon the record by riders of machines other than the "Triumph," Mr. Brown decided to demonstrate* his faith in "Triumph" reliability by riding alone. He rode tho same full roadster tlireespood "Triumph" as ho rode when lie established the record on January 17. The only difference in the conditions was that he knew the road. It must be remembered that, this' Christcliurch-ICaikoura rtdo was suggested by "Triumph" competitors presumably as a course 011 which their machines had a better chance against tho "Triumph" than any other. The conrso evidently does suit their machine—when their machine is going well—but it quite as evidently suits the "Triumph" just as well, and a great deal better. So the result of this little sporting controversy has been to establish tho "Triumph" as the best "cross-country" motor-cycle, a? well as tho best sj.>eed machine, tho best machine for reliability, and the best for hill-climbing. The latest "Triumphs" are now to hand; prices: fixed engine, .£7O! free engine. J.'SO; three-speed, .£81" ins.' Adams, Limited.. Chnstohurch. Branches, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Agents, Sutherland and Hankiue, Wellington, aud Tourist Motor Co,, Hastings.— . Advt
