The live stock'were in first-class order, and favourable comments were' passed on the condition of the different-linos. The prices realised for a few different lots ,ol tho ' sheep wore-a little disappointing,' especially for the four and. six-tooth ewes—big-* framed good-conditioned Itomneys—which 1 were sold at 15s. 2d. No doubt a number of buyers would have been' prepared to pay considerably>more for these sheep had the stock not bosn bred on such good heavy country.' ' Exceptionally keen cdmpetition took place for the cattle and horses, and satisfactory prices were realised. All the cattle were in very good condition, and thw cows and heifers submitted showed plenty of breeding. Dalgety and Co/, Ltd., report having held their usual stock, sale at Makotuku bit Thursday, when they offered a fair yarding of stock to a small attend--ance of the public.
